Gold opened in New York at 1166.50/1167.50. Range trading for most
of the day after Initial jobless claims came in on expectations. Gold
traded down early in the session to an intraday low of 1161.50/1162.50
on a stronger Dollar. Gains in the equities market saw the metal trade to
a high of 1169.50/1170.50. Quiet trading in late session saw Gold close
at 1167.50/1168.50.
